Serenity is based on Joss Whedon's TV series “Firefly” and takes place 500 years in the future. Captain Malcolm Reynolds and the crew of the transport vessel Serenity take on any job that pays – no matter how questionable. Now this cast of colorful characters must protect a mysterious passenger while trying to discover her secret and why the powerful Alliance wants her so badly.
